Boat owners suffer huge losses during the last four years. Just learned that a new Mustang 3800 sold for $375,000 in 2008 now sold for $185,000 with 35 engine hours. That's a $190,000 loss for the owner. Add mooring fees and servicing costs of let's say $60k, total loss around $250,000. The owner paid $7,142 per hour for the use of his boat!

Buyers be ware and look at the exit costs! Boats are very difficult to sell and may take months or years. Commissions to sell a boat are around 10% which is a big sting when the boat finally gets sold.
