Cruise Destinations: Port Philip Bay
Queenscliff
Tucked in behind Point Lonsdale at the entrance to Port Phillip Bay,Queenscliff is approximately 30nm from Williamstown. Historic buildings Imposing turrets, Historical shaped lighthouses, majestic Norfolk pines and an ancient pier all meld to provide the charisma that is Queenscliff. An important sea port, It's the base for t he Port Phillip Sea Pilots who are responsible for the safe conduct and navigation of each ship from the time they assumes control from the master after boarding at sea until the vessel is safely moored at the allocated wharf.
Queenscliff Harbouris a modern marina precinct established in a true Victorian working harbour with 360 degree views from the harbour's very own observation tower. The Queenscliff Harbour has several wharves and is home to local fishing fleets, some of which offer direct sales to the public from their boats. At the eastern end of the harbour is a car and passenger ferry service which operates between Queenscliff and Sorrento

The ship wrecks, the rescues and lifeboat, and the Sea Pilots who continue to bring ships safely through the Rip and into Port
The Pleasure Cruising Club flotilla will leave Sunday April 3rd at 7.30 am sharp from The C4 Jetty directly in front of the Pleasure cruising office and big screen at water front city.
Cruise Type: Queenscliff Day Trip
Accreditation: Long range navigation, familiarisation with the lower reaches of the bay. Charts, tides, currents, channels, leads, sand bars and reefs. marinas and attractions.
This full day cruise on our luxury boats is designed for Pleasure Cruising
club skippers. It will provide you with the opportunity to improve your
long distance cruising skills and experience the channels, leads, sand
bars, reefs and wrecks of the lower end of the bay, in the company of other
pleasure cruising club member skippers, and with club staff onboard and at
your service. Each member will take a watch, skippering the vessel on its
way to Queenscliff via the western channel. The staff duty skipper will
detail the navigation route to follow, pointing out the various landmarks
along the way.
